About
This summer I get to combine two of my passions in life, education and travel. I am very fortunate to have been selected for the Fulbright-Hays Seminar Abroad in Iceland. To say I'm excited would be an understatement. I am ready to explore, connect, and create in the Land of Fire and Ice.
I must thank some important people before I head off on my journey. First my partner Mike and my colleagues Craig and Judy who encouraged me to apply when I was doubting myself and provided me support throughout the application process and beyond. To my flexible and independent children Brendan and Audrey, who provide me with tech support, wardrobe advice, and so much more. To my advisory students who made flashcards to help me practice my Icelandic and Kaylie who wrote down many horseback riding tips. And finally to my Dad who at an early age instilled in me the importance of learning about different cultures and places.
